Design sofa table, model "GEO", designed by Paolo Cattelan for Cattelan Italia, from the early 90s. Design piece consisting of a Nero Marquina marble base, black stone marble extracted in the region of Markina (Basque Country, North of Spain) , characterised by a fine and compact grain, black, with abundant white veining. A crystal table top is resting on the base, 1. 3 cm thick, circular. The top can rotate 360 degrees thanks to the centre dowel which holds the steel frame (completely rotating as well) attached to a black lacquered wood shelf. Other than the quality of the materials and design, the main feature of this sofa table is the fact that it can completely rotate and can offer a support on different sides and positions of the living room. Specimen from a private collection, dating back to the early 90s, purchased at the Italian Official Store of Cassina, in Milan, in excellent condition, without signs and practically as new, perfect crystal top, only small signs on the wooden top due to the passage of time (handle and wheels fully functional) .
