Celadon nephrite rhyton, China, 19th–20th century
This libation cup has a flared cylindrical shape; it is deeply hollowed out and features a horn-shaped spout at the top that curves backward, serving as a pouring spout. The lower section rises from the forepaw of a horned dragon resting on its front legs. The side is carved with an archaic-style design reminiscent of a taotie mask.
