Celtic bronze socketed axe head, Central Europe
A Celtic bronze socketed axe head, Central Europe, Late Bronze Age, c. 800 - 600 BC, with ridges on the sides of the body, ring around socket hole with side loop, the cutting edge slightly curved. L: 2 13/16 in (7.1 cm). Nice glossy olive green patina with areas of mottled red. Ex South German private collection.
