Censer, Vessel - Ceramic - Bear, Dragon, Lion - A GREEN GLAZED POTTERY CENSER - China - Han Dynasty (206 B.C.- 220 A.D.)

The cylindrical ceramic vessel is supported by three low legs shaped like bears with paws folded on their lap. The body is made up of two equal parts and decorated with a belt of mythical animals in a mountainous landscape. The parties bear the motif of tchao-tchie masks. The container is covered with a deep green glaze, which acquires a metallic luster on the outside. The underside of the container is unglazed. Good condition, with some chips on the rim and on the feet ( see photos) . Provenance information: Purchased by the current owner on 2020 in France (Bordeaux) .
