Ceramic figurine "Ruyi with dragons", Qing dynasty
A small glazed ceramic figure in the form of a ruyi. It has a narrow and elongated profile, that widens in the centre and curls up at the ends, in the shape of a dragon's head, towards the inside. The front area is profusely decorated with fine roleos in relief, as well as the two dragon heads realistically executed. In the central zone, a small enamelled landscape appears on a white background. The rest of the piece has an intense reddish glaze with gilt decoration. With mark on the base "大清乾隆年制". Qing Dynasty (1644-1912).
