The ring's shank is accented by hand engraving, which would be disrupted by sizing. Evidence of prior sizing is evident on one side of the ring. The sapphire displays minor nicks and abrasions commensurate with age. The sapphire measures 17.11 x 13.73 x 10.15 mm.
