Chadansu 茶箪笥 (cupboard for tea utensils) - Glass, Wood, Teyaki - Japan - Meiji period (1868-1912) Very nice Japanese Cha Tansu, tea cabinet, is made of Keyaki wood. Meiji period 明治 1868-1912. Dimensions: height 87 cm, width 72 cm, depth 28 cm. The cabinet has 4 drawers, two compartments with sliding doors, one with glass. Behind the glass sliding doors is a beautiful wooden étagère with two levels. There is also one compartment with a pull hatch (see photos) . This cabinet is in good condition considering its age. No structural damage. The bottom right drawer is missing a piece of veneer/wood, in itself not disturbing. This item must be picked up in Belgium, Antwerp or can be delivered by a specialised courier in consultation with the buyer.
