Chalkware Sacred Heart/Supper Altar
An electrified home altar shrine constructed from painted plaster, commonly referred to as chalkware, mounted upon a black-painted wooden base. The shrine features a tiered architectural composition with various religious icons in relief and as freestanding figures. Crowning the highest tier is a figure of the Sacred Heart of Jesus, depicted in traditional red and white robes. The middle tier contains a central tabernacle-style niche featuring a relief of a monstrance and host against a yellow sunburst background. This central niche is flanked by two kneeling angels wearing green robes with yellow wings. The lower section is dominated by a wide relief panel depicting the Last Supper, bordered by four green-painted columns with cherub-head capitals. An additional illuminated niche containing a torch motif is located on the far right side of the base. The altar is designed for electrification, featuring multiple small clear glass flame bulbs on cork bases intended to mimic votive candles. The electrical components include -style insulated wiring and a two-prong plug. No maker marks, factory stamps, signatures, or labels are visible on the exterior surfaces shown in the provided images.
