Charger - Arita - Porcelain - Very large and fine Imari charger - With mark 'Fuki choshun' 富貴長春 - Japan - Late 18th/Early 19th century (Edo period) Very large charger decorated in underglaze cobalt and red iron oxide and gilt with a central roundel of a flower basket with an arrangement of peonies, ume and bamboo, the interior walls painted with eight shaped cartouche containing peonies, ume and sitting karako, the reverse with sprays of peony and archaic dragon roundels; base inscribed with auspicious "Fuki Choshun" mark. "Fuki Choshun" written in Kanji characters meaning Wealth, Nobility, Longevity and Youth.
