Charles Courtney Curran, America (1861-1942) Art Nouveau portrait of artist's niece, Nannette, in the garden. Painting appears to be unsigned but name 'Nannette' is visible in upper left corner with illegible writing under it. Provenance: acquired from direct descendant of Charles Curran. A photograph is included and is inscribed on verso 'To Nannette Merry Christmas from Uncle Charlie and Aunt Grace'. Below that is a note from another relative. Measures 11.25" x 8.25"W in gilt frame; 7 5/8"H x 4.75"W board unframed; photograph 9"H x 7.25"W. Condition report: good condition, wear commensurate with age, some gilt loss to frame, wear to edges of photograph, see photos.
