Charles Higgins ('Pic'), Scottish 1893-1980 - Untitled (man, horse, creature); oil on board, 45 x 40 cm (unframed) (ARR) Provenance: GImpel Fils, London; private collection, London Note: known for his haunting and mystical paintings, 'Pic' had his first exhibition at the celebrated Gimpel Fils in the late 1940s. His loose brushwork and shadowy forms recall the work of his contemporaries Cecil Collins and Sidney Nolan.
