The rectangular tester with a boldly moulded cornice enclosing a coffered ceiling of rectangular panels divided by carved and moulded ribs, raised on substantial baluster-turned and carved front posts; the architecturally conceived headboard with a pair of upper recessed panels framed by foliate-carved mouldings and fluted pilasters with enriched capitals, above a pair of recessed lower panels within deeply carved scrolling borders, interspersed with carved standing figures, the lower section with plain fielded panels.
Height 87 1/2 inches (222 cm), width 64 inches (163 cm), length 84 inches (213.5 cm).
