Charles II Needlework Dressing Mirror
Third quarter of the 17th century
Within a later faux tortoiseshell frame and divided with vignettes of Charles II and Henrietta Maria with courtiers in landscapes and flowers in cartouches, in various stiches and raised work in shades of beige, green, blue, red and brown on a white satin ground. Height 30 3/4 inches (78.1 cm), width 28 inches (71.1 cm).
