Note:
Whichelo is best-known as a marine and landscape artist, producing views of the countryside, cities, and coasts of Britain. His works were engraved for a number of publications, including 'Londina Illustrata' (published in two volumes in 1819 and 1825) and 'The Beauties of England and Wales' (1801-1815). A version of the present work was engraved by Thomas Milton (1743-1827) and published by S. Jones (fl.c.1815) in 1815 [British Museum no.1872,0511.387].
