Captain Sir Aubrey St. Clair-Ford, 6th Bt., R.N. (1904-1991) father of the present owner

Footnote:

The scene depicts Captain Aubrey St. Clair-Ford as a lookout in heavy seas. Snaffles was a personal friend of the Captain and was present aboard the destroyer HMS Encounter to capture the present scene.

Condition report:

Framed 41x 49cm

The colours are good. Small stain in the waves lower left corner. There appears to be a water stain along the right hand edge. Light surface dirt under glass. Foxing and discolouration to the mount. Creasing to the original mount. Not examined out of frame.
