Knight commissioned by the National Geographic Society. Charles Robert Knight (1874 – 1953) was an American artist best known for his paintings of dinosaurs and other prehistoric animals. His works have been reproduced in many books and are currently on display at several major museums in the United States including the American Natural History Museum in New York. Each of these works were featured in National Geographic Magazine, February 1942.
