Charles Leickert (1816-1907) was a student of W. J. J. for a short time. Nuijen and from 1839 by Andries Schelfhout. The latter in particular had a great influence on his work. He painted beautiful Dutch ice scenes, summer landscapes and river views, in which he incorporated all kinds of motifs from his sketchbooks. After 1859 he also painted beach scenes and cityscapes. The attractiveness of his paintings is partly determined by the beautiful light and strong narrative details.

Viewing is of course possible. We also have our own in-house frame shop, which is celebrating its 85th anniversary. We also use restorers from the trade organization: 'Restauratoren Nederland'. If you would like to use this, we would of course like to hear from you.
