Charles Manson Signed Poem
MANSON, Charles (1934-2017) was an American criminal and cult leader who led a group known as the "Manson Family" in California during the late 1960s. Although he did not personally commit the most infamous killings, he directed followers to carry out a series of murders in August 1969, including the murder of actress Sharon Tate and several others. Manson was convicted of first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit murder in 1971 and spent the remainder of his life in prison. His crimes and the sensational trial made him one of the most notorious figures in American criminal history. Document Signed "Charles Manson" with swastika, 1pp quarto, being a photocopy of a typed poem with his signature and that of Eddie Ragsdale. This poem has original “wet” blue ink signature of Charlie Manson at right. It reads in small part: "...It is my hope and dream to hook up through the satellites with everyone that's in the family red and blue, green, gold, and yellow. All the girls that are in jail with me That gave their lives, took their lives Gave their lives again…" Fine condition.
