Pollock, who worked in George Nelson's office after graduating from the Pratt Institute, was recognized by Florence Knoll for his unique talent. His executive chair is considered one of Knoll's most recognizable designs, featuring an aluminum edge that supports the seat and back both visually and structurally. The cascading seat edge and molded backrest contribute to lasting comfort. Swivel seat The armchair presented in this auction is in good condition except for a crack on the underside of the back in the plastic shell. This anomaly does not in any way affect the functionality and sturdiness of the armchair which can be safely used for another 50 years. The leather upholstery is intact with slight signs of use, the metal parts are in place and have been polished.
