CHARLES + RAY EAMES
ESU 200-N storage unit, 1950 / ca. 1952
Birch, birch plywood, lacquered masonite, chrome-plated steel, enameled steel, casters. Manufactured by Herman Miller, USA.

28.75" H x 47" W x 16" D

Provenance: Acquired from Herman Miller circa 1952, Chicago, IL; Thence by descent
Condition Report: Overall good vintage condition. Light-moderate wear throughout, consistent with age and use. The top with finish unevenness, light water rings, scratching and a veneer chip at the front center, approximately 2.5" x 0.75". Drawer faces with areas of deeper scratching. Feet have been replaced with casters, at some point, probably very early as the casters are very old and no longer work consistently. Enameled pulls have some finish loss and cracking. Masonite panels appear to retain their original finish and are in very good condition. The gray panel on the side with two deeper scufffs/scratches which result in finish loss, the larger approximately 1.75". Drawers are a bit sticky and don't all move smoothly. Two small holes have been drilled into the top's front-facing edge.
