Designed by Charlotte Perriand in 1927 for her apartment in Place Saint-Sulpice in Paris, this chair was first displayed at the Salon des Artistes Décorateurs in 1928, in the Salle à Manger 28, and then at the Salon d'Automne in 1929, within the collection co-branded by Le Corbusier, Pierre Jeanneret, and Charlette Perriand.
. Original CASSINA model (made from 1978) , numbered, series LC7, serial number 009204 (see branding shown in photos)
. The chair is from a private collection. It was purchased at the Cassina Store in Milan in the late 1980s and is in excellent, practically like-new condition, as shown in the photographs, with no sign of wear. The chair has in fact never been sat on, but has only been used as decoration.
