Measuring 4.25" diameter, No place, Ca. 1817. A beautiful antique hand-carved bust portrait miniature of an unknown male in mid relief. Writing below the portrait states the subject was Age 27 when the miniature was made. The bust measures 0.875" x 1.875", is mounted on green velvet, and framed in a round mahogany frame. On verso is faded writing, possibly identification of the subject. With wear on verso and some minor loss of the backing material. Very fine.
