Château Paulet 1914 - Fine Champagne - b. 1960s - 70cl

[ translate ]

Vintage 1914 "fine cognac" from Château Paulet. The "fine champagne" designation is used for a blend of petite and grande champagne, the heart of the cognac production area. Cognac selected by Château Paulet, who took over Barnett and their old vintages stock in 1969. It is a very famous brand and the bottle is just beautifull, a perfect "embossed" sealing, old and nice labels, nice "1914" shoulder wax seal. The cognac has rpobably been bottled directly in the 1960's from the barrels, once it had reached the status of Very Old Reserve, named "Maurice Lacroux Reserve". The Paulet storage / cellars are depicted on the rear label and dates back to 1761. The bottle is in good condition, good level, the cognac was probably bottled in the second half of 20th century (1950-1960) according to bottle type, sealing type and bottle design. The content is quite dark, typical of brandies having matured for many years in oak barrels. Content was harvested over a century ago, in the beginning of the world war. 70cl - 40% probably, nothing stated Higth = 28 cm / weight = 1. 35 kg
