Rabbi Yeshaya of Makarov

Letter from Rabbi Yeshaya Twersky of Makarov addressed to Dr. Wallach, president of Jerusalem’s Bikur Cholim Shaarei Tzedek hospital.

Rabbi Yeshaya of Makarov was the son of Rabbi Yaakov Yitzchak of Makarov, son of Rabbi Menachem Nachum of Makarov, son of Rabbi Mordechai of Chernobyl. Rabbi Yeshaya first served as Admor in Makarov, later resettling in Kiev where he is buried. He was renowned for his passionate prayers and for his tremendous acts of charity.
