A Directoire Napoleon III chest of drawers / escritoire from France, dating back to the 1870s. It is made in pear wood and finely inlaid with fruit woods. The escritoire consists of a wide upper drawer, a central folding desk with four drawer and a green leather top, and three more drawers in the bottom section. The top is in levanto red marble, intact and coeval. The leather inside, is intact and coeval. It comes with a single key that can be used with all the locks. Both the key and the locks are original and working.
