Chicken Bone Jade Bangle, Spring and Autumn Period

春秋晚期 雞骨白絞絲環A Chinese chicken bone jade bangle made up of twined strands and dating from the late Spring and Autumn period.

Dimensions are: 1/2 inches tall X 4 1/4 inches wide. All measurements are approximate.

Condition: Natural seams and inclusions in the stone.

Provenance: From Mrs. Kwan in Northern California, by descent from her parents, who collected in Hong Kong over 40 years ago. A similar jade bangle from the late Spring and Autumn period, is illustrated in _Zhong Guo Yu Qi Quan Ji_, Vol. 3, Hebei: Hebei Fine Arts Publishing House, 1993, pl. 69 (fig. 1).
