Oak and Old House in Spring, 1931 (Cortissoz/Clayton, 344). Monogrammed and inscribed "imp" in pencil l.r., signed, inscribed, and dated "Easthampton/May 23rd/[monogram]/1931" in the plate l.l. Etching on paper, plate size 8 1/4 x 11 1/8 in. (20.8 x 28.2 cm), framed.
Condition: Even toning with pale mat burn, not examined out of frame.

Out of the frame the sheet is a full sheet with deckled edges, and measures 10 1/4 x 14 7/8 in. It is a wove paper with an initials "CP" in an oval watermark. The image is gently light-stained and there is slightly more prevalent mat burn. There are pinholes near the edges of the sheet, and pencil annotations to the lower margin. The frame is 16 1/2 x 18 3/4 x 1 1/4 in.
