Chinese 14K Necklace with Jadeite Plaques, Republic

A Chinese 14K gold necklace with six jadeite pierced plaques dating from the Republic period. The plaques are carved with hulu fruit and flowers.

Dimensions are: the necklace measures 16 inches long, 40.6 cm, while the plaques measure 3/4 inches diameter, 1.9 cm. All measurements are approximate.

Condition: One plaque has been repaired. There is natural variation to the stones.

Provenance: From Mrs. Hillebrand in Chicago, Illinois. Her father-in-law purchased these items in China and Hong Kong between 1935 and 1970. This lot is part of Mrs. Hillebrand's sixth consignment with Oakridge Auction Gallery.
