Chinese Antique Two-Part Hand Embroidered Silk and Gold Metallic Wrap Threads Framed Celebratory Banners

Two rectangular shape cut off silk embroidery textiles, one panel depicting hand embroidered majestic Phoenix with gold metallic wrap silk threads, second panel depicting hand embroidered celebratory or congratulatory banner, which features the names of numerous sons, nephews and grandsons, many of whom held scholarly titles (such as Student of the Imperial Academy or District Confucian School Student) or served as guests at the Rural Wine Ceremony. Both featured on silk secondary fabric as background on wooden starchers without backing, and framed under plexiglass to hang on the wall, overall 48 ⅜" x 16 ⅜" each.

Condition: Good overall antique condition, as is, cut offs from large textiles, soils and losses commensurate with age and use; wear and losses to plexiglass displays.
