PROVENANCE
Private Collection, Edmonton
The sceptre is of a typical form with the shaft decorated with two relief carved five clawed dragons soaring on a cloudy sky. The head is of square shape with another carved dragon encircling a flaming pearl of wisdom. The reverse is inscribed with a Buddhist sutra. The overall tone is of a green celadon with mottled striations throughout.
