Chinese Blanc de Chine Dehua Cup, 18th Century
A Chinese Dehua kiln blanc de chine cup dating from the 18th century. The exterior features a molded decoration of a tiger, a dragon, a crane, and a deer among trees. It is almond-shaped with a scalloped rim and a deep basin. Dimensions are: 3 inches tall X 5 1/4 inches wide, 7.6 cm X 13.3 cm. All measurements are approximate. Condition: There is one chip to the foot. There is a firing crack near the foot as well as some surface damage. Provenance: From a private New York collection.
