Chinese Bronze Box with Ming Dynasty Jade
A Chinese pierced mutton fat jade plaque dating from the Ming dynasty set into a bronze box. The plaque features a dragon against a pierced ground. The bottom of the box is marked "China."
Dimensions are: the plaque measures 1 1/2 inches tall X 3 3/8 inches wide, 3.8 cm X 8.6 cm. All measurements are approximate.
Condition: There are several chips to the interior edges of the border of the jade plaque and to the dragon's tail.
Provenance: From a Los Angeles, California estate.
