Chinese Bronze Censer with Original Stand, 18th Century

A Chinese bronze incense burner with an original bronze stand dating from the 18th century. The tripod censer has side handles and a 4-character mark on the bottom reading "Zhen She Yong Bao." The tripod stand resembles a lotus.

Dimensions are: 2 3/4 inches tall X 6 1/4 inches wide, 7 cm X 15.9 cm. Weight: 1550 grams. All measurements are approximate.

Condition: Use and age wear.

Provenance: From Mr. Zaun's collection in Chicago, Illinois. Mr. Zaun lived in Taiwan with his wife from 1967-68 where his interest in Chinese history and artifacts blossomed. Lots 100-105 from our Nov 14, 2020 auction were from Mr. Zaun's collection. A similar example was sold at Sotheby's London on November 8, 2017, as lot 57.
