A Chinese bronze statue of Guanyin dating from the Ming dynasty with a wooden stand. She sits in dhyanasana on a single lotus pedestal. She wears a lotus border robe and a crown with Amitabha Buddha over a three-part top knot. She holds an object in her left hand and her right hand rests on her knee in vitarka mudra.
Dimensions are: 8 1/2 inches tall X 5 inches wide, 21.6 cm X 12.7 cm. Weight: 1450 grams. All measurements are approximate.
Condition: The mandorla is missing. The object in her left hand is broken away. The gilt is worn away. General age wear.
