A 7-character Chinese calligraphy couplet in ink on paper by Ding Shuming. The couplet has 2 seals, a dedication to Baichu, and is mounted on a silk backing.
Dimensions are: 51 in. tall X 11 in. wide, 129.5 cm tall X 27.9 cm wide. All measurements are approximate.
Condition: Staining, creasing, minor cracking due to dryness.
Provenance: From the estate of Chen Bai Cun. Chen Baicun (1894-1967) graduated from the Baoding Military Academy and rose to prominence as the Lieutenant General of the National Revolutionary Army and the former Chief of Staff of Chen Cheng.
