Chinese Calligraphy Couplet by Pu Ru

A 7-character Chinese calligraphy couplet in ink on pink and gold-flecked paper by Pu Ru. The couplet has two seals and a dedication to Shufang. It is mounted on a silk backing and framed.

Dimensions are: 23 in. tall X 5 in. wide, 58.4 cm tall X 12.7 cm wide. All measurements are approximate.

Condition: It is in good condition.

Provenance: From Mrs. Kwoh in New Jersey, by descent. The calligraphy by Liang Hancao and the Pu Ru couplets were given to Yang Shufang, Mrs. Kwoh's aunt. The calligraphy by Yu Youren was given to Guo Naiqi, Mrs. Kwoh's father-in-law.
