A 5-character Chinese calligraphy couplet in ink on paper by Wu Zhihui. The couplet has 2 seals, a dedication to Baichu, and is mounted on a silk backing.
Dimensions are: 50 in. tall X 12 1/2 in. wide, 127 cm tall X 31.8 cm wide. All measurements are approximate.
Condition: Worm damage has been repaired.
Provenance: From the estate of Chen Bai Cun. Chen Baicun (1894-1967) graduated from the Baoding Military Academy and rose to prominence as the Lieutenant General of the National Revolutionary Army and the former Chief of Staff of Chen Cheng.
