A 6-character Chinese calligraphy couplet in ink on paper by Yu Youren. The calligraphy has 1 seal. It is mounted on a silk backing with silk dowels.
Dimensions are: 54 1/2 in. tall X 13 1/2 in. wide, 138.4 cm tall X 34.3 cm wide. All measurements are approximate.
Condition: Both are in good condition.
Provenance: From a Maryland collector related to Liang Dingfen. The collector's great-grandfather was a close friend of Zhang Zhidong.
