Chinese Carved Cherry Amber Landscape Plaque with 2 Scholars playing weiqi on a cliff as another approaches with assistant across a bridge. The reverse with lengthy calligraphy and 4 character Qianlong Mark; in well carved and pierced hardwood standing frame and base for use as a table screen. Good condition with light age related wear. Weight of cherry amber plaque 1,719 grams. Height of plaque 15 3/8 inches (39.1 cm.) X width of plaque 11 1/4 inches (28.7 cm.); the thickness of the plaque varies depending on the carving with an approximate largest thickness of 16mm. Height with stand 20 inches (50.8 cm.) X width of hardwood base 13 1/4 inches (33.6 cm.).
