Chinese Carved Porcelain Snuff Bottle, 19th Century

A Chinese glazed porcelain snuff bottle with high relief carvings dating from the 19th century. The carvings feature Luohans among ruyi clouds. There is a 4-character mark on the bottom.

Dimensions are: 3 inches tall X 2 1/8 inches wide, 7.6 cm X 5.4 cm. All measurements are approximate.

Condition: There is a small chip to the rim, but it is in overall good condition.

Provenance: From a private Northern Virginia collection. Collected in the early 20th century by the current owner's grandparents during their time stationed in China working for Standard Oil.
