circa 1900, likely originally from an opium bed, three parts including a long arched panel with notched underside edge and relief carved decoration with central ying/yang, animals and scholar's objects; two mortise and tenon tapered stiles with bamboo and animal carvings, all over red lacquer with gilt and black painted highlights.

Condition Report: Some minor surface wear; mellow patina to paint; slight raised warp to central panel (does not lay flat against a wall with the peak at the center); the three pieces fit loose together and will need further stabilizing to be held in place.
