Chinese Celadon Longquan Bowl and Jar, Song or Yuan
A Chinese celadon Longquan bowl and a small jar, both dating from the Song or Yuan dynasty. The jar is ribbed, and the bowl has an incised flower on the interior.
Dimensions are: the bowl measures 2 1/2 inches tall X 5 3/4 inches wide, 6.4 cm X 14.6 cm. All measurements are approximate.
Condition: The jar has long, significant cracks and a chip. The bowl has a crack to the rim.
Provenance: From the estate of a surgeon in the Washington, D.C. area. The items were acquired from various auction houses including Christie's and Sotheby's prior to the 1990s.
