Chinese Crystal and Lapis Lazuli Snuff Bottles, 20th C.
A group of 2 Chinese snuff bottles with wooden stands dating to the early 20th century. The group includes 1 purple crystal snuff bottle carved with a phoenix and bird among trees, and 1 lapis lazuli snuff bottle that depicts Chilong and gourds.
Dimensions are: the larger bottle measures 2 1/2 inches tall X 2 inches wide, 6.35 cm X 5.08 cm. All measurements are approximate.
Condition: The lapis snuff bottle is missing its lid and the crystal snuff bottle has minor chips to the edges of the carvings.
Provenance: From the estate of Mr. Mullen in Upstate New York. Mr. Mullen was a world traveler and collected from different countries from the 1950s to the 1980s.
