Chinese Draft Painting of Guanyin
觀音鏡片 A Chinese ink draft for a painting on paper of Guanyin. The figure of Guanyin holds a clean vase before a moon and she stands among clouds The painting has 2 inscriptions on the back.
Dimensions are: 28 1/2 inches tall X 16 1/2 inches wide. All measurements are approximate.
Condition: Very minor creasing and small tears to the edges.
Provenance: From the estate of Lee Yuhuang. Mr. Lee was an accomplished artist in Hong Kong, where he was part of the Lingnan School, before he emigrated to San Francisco. While in San Francisco, he taught Chinese painting techniques and continued to collect Chinese paintings and calligraphy, a practice he had begun in Hong Kong. 拍品400至430來自李譽煌先生舊藏。李先生是香港知名藝術家，是嶺南畫派傳人。在移居舊金山之後，他在舊金山傳授中國繪畫技巧，並繼續收藏了許多中國書畫。
