Chinese Duan Ink Stone in Wooden Box, 19th Century
A Chinese Duan ink stone in a wooden box carved with a peach and dating from the 19th century.
Dimensions are: 2 inches tall X 7 1/2 inches wide. All measurements are approximate.
Condition: There is a large split to the wooden lid.
Provenance: From the estate of Mr. Kwok Woon Kun, formerly a shareholder of Wing On Company, a well-known department store group in Hong Kong and Shanghai. This collection was collected in Hong Kong prior to Mr. Kwok's death in 1969. His collection was shipped to Canada in 1981 and was inherited by Mr. Kwok's daughter and grandson. Comes with proof of provenance. 拍品來自郭Woon Kun家族，郭先生永安公司主要股東，永安公司為郭先生家族創立，是上海和香港著名的百貨公司。這些藏品為郭先生生前在香港購藏，郭先生於1969年在香港去世。其藏品1981年從香港運抵加拿大，為其兒媳和孫子傳承。
