Chinese Eastern Chou Dynasty Bronze Helmet

Chinese, Chou Dynasty. The bronze domed helmet surmounted with a square finial with square hole. Edged in a thickened border and with a mythical beast decoration over the central pointed brow. Approx: h. 9" w. 8". Provenance: From the Private Collection of Morton & Kathleen Sachs of Louisville, Kentucky, purchased from TK Asian Antiquities (Williamsburg, VA) in 2000 & 2001 for $5,760.
