Chinese Enamel and Peking Glass Snuff Bottles, 18-19th
A group of two Chinese snuff bottles dating from the 18th to the 19th century. The lot includes: an enameled metal snuff bottle with a pink tourmaline stopper with a spoon. The exterior features a landscape scene with four European figures and a dog, and the bottom has a 4-character mark. The second snuff bottle is made of white Peking glass with a green glass stopper with a spoon. The exterior of the bottle is decorated with flowers and butterflies.
Dimensions are: the larger metal bottle measures 2 inches tall X 1 1/2 inches wide, 5.1 cm X 3.8 cm. All measurements are approximate.
Condition: The enameled metal bottle is in poor condition with numerous areas of damage. The bottom of the Peking glass bottle has been ground down.
Provenance: From a private Los Angeles, California collection.
