The tortoise form raised on four three-toed feet, the head forming the spout, the curved handle painted with scales and molded with a flange over the top, the body worked with auspicious symbols in cartouches on the sides and Ming style character medallions on the shoulder, all on a diaper ground, the lid with a kneeling boy as a finial, iron red, green and yellow enameling. Height to top of handle 8 1/2 inches.
