Chinese Export Porcelain Octagonal Plates, Famille Rose, Ca. 1780, Dia. 9" 2 pcs | a mirrored pair of hand-decorated plates with roses, feasting beetles, fruit, and bat motifs to the basin. Accented with fired gold trim. Probably produced and exported for the French market. Circa 1780. Provenance: Property from a private collection, Grosse Pointe Farms, Michigan.
Condition Report: When viewed under UV light, one chip with associated inpainting fluoresced to the rim of one plate. Otherwise, no conservation efforts or structural demerits were observed.
