A small Chinese famille rose vase dating from the Republic period with a wood stand. The vase features a turquoise ground with lotus tracery, guardian lion handles holding engaged rings, and 2 roundels of 3 figures in a courtly garden. There is a 6-character mark on the bottom.
Dimensions: 4 inches tall X 3 inches wide, 10.16 cm X 7.62 cm. All measurements are approximate.
Condition: Significant crack to the rim.
Provenance: From Mrs. Przecha in Southern California, by descent; acquired by Mrs. Przecha's step-father, a military doctor, while stationed in Tianjin during the 1920s.
